Coop’s career, performing his brand of eclectic guitar and vocal music, has taken him around the globe to 52 different countries from Australia, China, Japan, to South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hungary, throughout Europe, Israel, and many other countries.

Coop has performed on stage with a variety of musicians such as Joe Walsh (Eagles), Steve Howe (Yes/Asia), Danny Gatton, Seymour Duncan, Pat Travers, Michel Cusson and Alain Caron (UZEB), Brett Garsed, Buster B. Jones, Thom Bresh, drummers Gregg Bissonnette, Carmine Appice, Narada Michael Walden (Mahavishnu Orchestra/ Jeff Beck), and Danny Gottlieb (Pat Metheny), Alphonso Johnson and Yngwie Malmsteen to name a few. He has opened for numerous acts including, Tower of Power, Harp legend James Cotton, Elvin Bishop, Tommy Emmanuel, Uli Jon Roth,

As an international artist/guitarist he has shared the stage with many guitarists: Jan Akkerman, Jennifer Batten, Rick Derringer, Adrian Legg, Andy Timmons, Paul Gilbert and many others. In 1997 Coop toured Turkey with drum sensation Dom Famularo and Asim Can (Awesome John) to wild crowds and was captured on TV to a viewing audience of 120 million all across Europe on the Euro-Sky Network.

In 2004, at the Nashville NAMM show, Coop was asked to play for guitar legend Les Paul, and afterwards Les invited Coop to the Iridium Club (NYC) to sit in.
Coop has released 5 solo CDs entitled: “Shelter from the Storm” and “Speaking in Other Tongues”, “Enter the Dance”, and “Receiving & Transmitting”, “Alive and Burning Blues Sessions” along with a DVD of those sessions which was aired for PBS twice.

Coop is the author of 8 guitar instructional books that come with CDs for the music publishing company, Music Education Workshop. These books have sold in more than twenty countries.
Two of his books, “Blues Jam Along” and “Hard Rock Jam Along” have been published by Music Sales/Amsco publishing worldwide.

Coop is a sought after international guitar teacher. He himself has studied with Howard Roberts, Steve Morse,
Pat Martino, Joe Diorio, Tommy Tedesco, Ron Eschete, Mick Goodrick, Joe Pass, Robben Ford, Don Mock, Daniel Gilbert, Steve Travato, Steve Freeman, Les Wise, and Keith Wyatt.
